Coach on the right, 4th place!!!

 

This weekend was the first stage in the NMBS. We knew going into this race that since Pua is not ranked in the XC standings she would be called up at the back of the Women's field. Our hope was for Pua to move her way up from the back to the top 10 riders and she did exactly that! Working through the crowds and even a traffic jam on the first climb where riders had to dismount and run up the hill, Pua pedaled her way up. Moving from about 40th position to 10th and settling in to that spot to the finish.

The great thing now is Pua will be called up in the 10th slot next week at the races in Fountain Hills, AZ.

Also this weekend Pua's coach (Dr. Brandon Grove) raced his first ever mountain bike race! He got 4th and made the podium!! Congrats Coach!!!
