We pre-rode the 12.5k course yesterday. Pretty darn technical, and everyone thinks we are crazy with rigid bikes, but we'll see. Our Ellsworth Enlightenment bikes are the talk of the whole scene here. Today's prologue will start at noon with teams starting at 1 minute intervals... should be interesting as there is not much passing room. We'll have a little bit of a chance to see how we stack up against the other mixed (girl/guy) teams, but we know the real race doesn't start till tomorrow. The weather here is overcast and a bit of sprinkly rain, not enough to get you wet, in between the sun is harsh. Lots of people who look fast.

Yesterday we took a "little" ride to see some waterfalls... turned out we returned at night from quite a technical ride... which ended at a big pool where everybody jumped in in various stages of clothing. The water was brilliant after a tough ride, great to cool off before heading back to camp.

Tonight we'll look to see if we can find a little Pousada to stay instead of our cute little tent, just to make sure we get good sleep. More later. K and P

Been out touring the National Parks of the West...with 13 tourists from Holland. It was nice, and beautiful, but the thing I missed the most.... my bike! Back on it today on the FALL trails of Big Bear. Demo days will be awesome!
