Red Scarf

You set across from this woman and wonder what she is doing here?

The look on her face is calm but intense

She has a gentle air about her and then she speaks.

She speaks to you with warmth and a deep love of life.

You can hear it in her voice and you feel it in her words.

She speaks of the joys of life

She speaks of the love of life itself

As you listen to her words you wonder what has but her in such a state of true emotions

A true heart felt love of life.

Then she leaves and you sit there looking at an empty space

At that very moment you feel a want to speak to her more

You feel as if the angel has just left you alone

The angel that made you think and view life

You stop to think about her face and how she looked

You want to try to remember just how she looked

Because this woman has just made you realize what is life!

Then you come to see her and remember that this angel was a woman with a beautiful red scarf on her head and was very small

This was a woman that is winning her life back

Like so many other women have come to deal with a cancer and treatment that they will survive.

Survival that comes with the realization that life is what we make of it and the realization of what is important.

This angel has opened her heart and pain

At that very moment I realized that she saw the fear in my eyes and my heart while we shared that moment in time.

So for all those angels that have survived this disease and all of those who don’t and watch the rest of them

I will always remember what is important

I will always fight along with all of you

I will remember my angel with the red scarf and will keep her love in my heart forever.

The love of life

The love for each other

The love for helping a lonely heart when you find one!
